China market: White-box handset makers to shine in smartphone segment: White-box handset makers are expected to take the main scene of China's handset market again by rolling out sub-CNY500 (US$79) smartphones in the second half of 2012, optimizing chipset solutions, software, firmware and development platforms offered by MediaTek, according to industry sources.
