In-cell used for new iPhone may cause tight supply of LTPS touch panels if yield rates not high enough
In-cell used for new iPhone may cause tight supply of LTPS touch panels if yield rates not high enough: Production of a new Apple iPhone will kick off at the end of the second quarter or in the third quarter, and if yield rates for the production of in-cell panels used in the smartphone by LG Display, Japan Display and Sharp are not sufficiently high, supply of LTPS (low-temperature poly-silicon) high-resolution touch panels for other smartphone vendors is likely to be tight, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
