White-box Windows 8 tablets to see ex-factory prices of US$300: In view of increasing competition for 7-inch entry-level Android tablets, China-based white-box vendors will start producing Windows 8 tablets in May for launch in the third quarter, with ex-factory prices for a 11.6-inch model estimated at about US$300 not including licensing fees for Windows 8 and other patents, according to industry sources.
