Motorola reveals that it shipped 6.5 million smartphones in the first quarter

Motorola reveals that it shipped 6.5 million smartphones in the first quarter: Sure, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 alone shipped 10 million units in the first quarter of this year. But Motorola just might be happy with the 6.5 million units it shipped during the same three month period. Whether the Motorola Moto X was a big success is something that is going to have be debated by scholars in the future. It certainly wasn't a game-changer for the manufacturer, who hasn't really shot out the lights since 2009's Motorola DROID.
