Panel makers plans to start producing high resolution panels with 21:9 aspect ratio in 2H14: Panel makers reportedly have plans to start producing high resolution panels with 21:9 aspect ratio at the end of 2014, according to industry sources. The panels will be used for monitor applications that will be released starting 2015, with AU Optronics (AUO) and LG Display expected to be the main providers. The panels may also come in 27- and 28-inch sizes equipped with curved features in order to meet new monitor demand in the market.
