After shipping 324.8 million smartphones last year, Samsung is expected to ship 350 million units this year according to industry sources. That would be a 7.8% gain in deliveries during 2016, and would keep Samsung on top as the world's largest smartphone manufacturer. Sammy shipped 81.9 million units in the first quarter of this year, followed by a 6% sequential decline to 77 million during the second quarter.
