One year ago bTendo and STMicroelectronics announced an agreement to jointly develop the world's smallest MEMS-based Laser-Beam-Steering projector for mobile devices. Today ST announced that it will demonstrated the latest smart-phone ready version of this projector at MWC 2012 next week. They also say that smartphones that integrate this projector could start appearing in the marketplace in 2013.
bTendo projector module, 2009Last year bTendo said that the new projector module will be less than 2.5cm3 in volume and below 6mm in height. We don't have any technical details about the module at show next week yet.
