IC vendors to ship record volumes of ambient light and proximity sensors in 2Q13: Taiwan-based IC design houses including Capella Microsystems, Sitronix Technology and Lite-On Semiconductor are expected to see their quarterly shipments of ambient light and proximity sensors hit record highs in the second quarter of 2013, powered by orders from the smartphone, tablet and notebook sectors, according to industry sources.
