Rumors reaffirmed: Microsoft to hold a grand event in October - Lumia 950, 950 XL, Band 2, and Surface 4 to be announced:

Around a month ago, we got wind of a rumor that Microsoft is prepping to finally announce its Windows Mobile-toting flagships for 2015 – the alleged Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Now, we say "finally", because it's been quite a while since we've seen a Lumia top-shelver. The last flagship to bear the name was released in April, 2014 – more than a year ago – and since then, Microsoft has been mainly busy producing entry-level and economy-class handsets – like the Lumia 540, 640, and 640 XL.
