Like them or hate them, wearables appear to the next big thing in the technology sector. According to the latest report from the IDC, a total of 21 million wearables have been shipped during the third quarter of 2015, a 197.6% increase compared to the same time period a year ago.
The report indicates that Fitbit remained the world's largest wearable manufacturer by units shipped. During Q3 2015, Fitbit is estimated to have shipped 4.7 million wearables, more than doubling the 2.3 million units it has shipped in Q3 2014.
