FAA to Test Electronic Gadget Interference Theory

FAA to Test Electronic Gadget Interference Theory: For the last 20 years or so, the Federal Aviation Administration has enforced a ban on electronic device usage on takeoff and landings. (Just ask Alec Baldwin) The world is a constantly changing place and so too are the rules. Since iPads are now allowed in the cockpit and are carried as standard equipment on some airlines, the question of myth versus reality is about to be tested. Time to call on the MythBusters.

If the FAA's eventual testing demonstrates that the theory is bunk, maybe we'll soon be able to use our gadgets on takeoff and landing.
