Digitimes Research: Apple has chance to become the fifth largest PC brand in 2013: Apple has released its new iMac, Mac mini, 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad. For the Mac product lines, which are all heading towards light and thin designs with high resolution displays, Digitimes Research estimates that their total shipments will surpass 24 million units in 2013, up 15% from 20.8 million units in 2012, giving Apple a good chance of becoming the fifth largest PC brand vendor worldwide in 2013.
