Taiwan August CPI up on month, down on year, says DGBAS »: Taiwan's August 2013 consumer price index (CPI) of 102.71 (2011 as base year) increased 0.12% on month but decreased 0.79% on year, while the corresponding wholesale price index (WPI) of 96.43% grew 0.42% on month but slipped 2.85% on year, according to statistics released by the Directorate-General Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).
