We've been talking a lot about the Oppo R5 lately. At only 0.19 inches (4.85 mm) thin, it stands as the world's current slimmest smartphone, which won't be for long. Anytime we've mentioned the Oppo R5, the Vivo X5 Max piggybacked on its attention with the rumors of it being a full (!!!) 0.0039in (0.10mm) thinner than Oppo's crazy-thin. It really looks like Gionee unknowingly ignited a competition among Chinese vendors when its Elife S5.5 and S5.1 smartphones won Guinness world records.
