To prevent Bendgate 2, Apple might use a tougher aluminum alloy to make the next iPhones:

This year's upcoming iPhones are expected to be called iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, being incremental upgrades over the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. While the new handsets may not bring major enhancements, it's said that Apple plans to make them tougher (likely because it doesn't want last year's Bendgate controversy to arise again).



According to Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News, Apple intends to manufacture its next generation iPhones using 7000 series aluminum, an alloy that the company is already using for the Apple Watch. According to Apple, 7000 series aluminum is "60% stronger ...
