Certified mobile workstations continue to grow moderately in 2Q15; desktop workstations have disappointing quarter, says IDC: According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Workstation Tracker, certified mobile workstations continued to show stronger growth in the second quarter of 2015, while the desktop workstation market experienced a slight decline. Total shipments of mobile workstations improved 5.4% on year to 288,270 units in the second quarter. Worldwide desktop workstation shipments declined 3.7% on year with total shipments of 641,580 units. Overall worldwide shipments improved slightly with an on-year decline of 1% compared to an on-year decline of 1.6% in the first quarter of 2015.
