Apple surprised iPad fans last year by releasing a new iPad mini model that was barely an upgrade from the iPad mini 2. The iPad Air 2 received a major overhaul and became even thinner than ever, while the iPad mini 3 got a new paint job and a fingerprint sensor... and that's literally it. That might change this year, and purported 3D CAD images of the iPad mini 4 seem to indicate the tablet will be as thin as the iPad Air 2.
