As expected, Apple today officially confirmed the media event on 22nd October, at which it is expected to launch the iPad 5, iPad Mini 2, Haswell-powered MacBook Pros and more.
The event takes place ############################################
We summarised what we’re expecting earlier. The executive summary is an A7-powered iPad 5 with the same slim bezel design as the iPad Mini, a Retina iPad Mini 2 also with the A7 chip and Haswell-powered MacBook Pros with greatly improved battery life and the ability to drive 4K displays …
We also expect Apple to launch a refreshed Apple TV, new versions of iWorks, an updated version of Final Cut Pro and to confirm the release date for Mavericks. There may be an entry-level non-Retina version of the iPad Mini. We’re not expecting the non-Retina MacBook Pro to be updated, though it may remain on sale.
Rumored availability dates for the key new products are:
- MacBook Pro on 24th or 25th October
- iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 on 30th or 31st October
- Mac Pro on 15th November
