The reaction to the iPhone 5c was one of confusion. Rather than capitalizing on the potential for a budget iPhone, Apple released a marginally more affordable, repackaged iPhone 5. The phone's sales seem to mirror that initial response as AllThingsD shares a report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) which shows iPhone 5s sales have more than doubled sales of the iPhone 5c so far. According to CIRP's survery, the iPhone 5s made up 64% of iPhone sales in the month of September, the iPhone 5c captured 27%, and the iPhone 4S came in at 9%.
