Some notebook vendors consent to panel price hikes, say Taiwan makers: In view of growing demand for notebooks in emerging markets and business-use models, notebook panel makers have asked for price hikes and a few notebook vendors, including Hewlett-Packard, Dell and China-based Lenovo, have accepted increased prices for panels used in notebooks of certain sizes, according to Taiwan-based supply chain players.
