Touch screen shipments expected to reach 1.8 billion in 2013, says Displaybank: The touch screen market in 2012 saw shipments of over 1.34 billion, up 39.4%, and is expected to climb 34% in 2013 to 1.8 billion units followed by 2.75 billion units in 2016 largely due to increasing demand for smartphones and tablets, according to research firm Displaybank.
