GBI Research released a new report (titled "Pico Projectors Market to 2016 - Application in Portable Devices such as Smartphones, Digital Cameras and Laptops to Drive Growth"), in which they predict that the global pico projector market will grow from $0.49 billion in 2011 to about $8.12 in 2016. The Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) will be around 75%.
GBI says that increased use of embedded pico projectors and the miniaturization of high-end projectors for professional use will be the major growth drivers.
