Microsoft fails to pacify PC vendors about Surface tablets: To ease the impact created by its WoA Surface tablet PC, Microsoft has been negotiating with brand vendors including Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell since July hoping to pacify them; however, Microsoft has not been able to provide a satisfactory solution, and HP has already decided to halt development of Windows RT tablet PCs, while Dell reportedly may also back away from the segment, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
