Pegatron expects sequential drops in 3Q12 shipments of PCs, motherboards: Taiwan-based ODM provider Pegatron Technology, viewing that consumers are expected to delay purchases in the third quarter of 2012 to wait for the launch of Windows 8 in October, expects its third-quarter shipments of notebooks to decrease by 15-20% sequentially, netbooks by 50% and motherboards and desktops together by 5-10%, company CEO Jason Cheng said at an investors conference on August 23.
