General Motors and Harman working on Android-powered car infotainment system:

General Motors might be planning an Android-powered car infotainment system. There seems to be quite the weight to this rumor, as it is reported that Harman International is behind the development on a $900 million contract signed in GM. The end product is expected to arrive in production cars in late 2016, which means GM and Harman could even catch up with LG's design-free P-OLED displays. Now that would make for a rad car computer, no?


Anyway, a major advantage of the upcoming system is its ability to function on a standalone principle without having to pair a smartphone ...
